Dr. Nestor De La Cruz-Munoz Appointed to Bariatric Surgical Review Committee

Hialeah Hospital Bariatric Surgeon Joins Prestigious Board

HIALEAH, FL (June 11, 2009) – Dr. Nestor De La Cruz-Munoz, Medical Director for Bariatric Surgery at Hialeah Hospital, was recently appointed to the Bariatric Surgery Review Committee (BRSC). He will serve a three-year term.

The Bariatric Surgical Review Committee’s mission is to formulate and establish guidelines and criteria for assessing Bariatric surgical practices, evaluate and investigate applicants to ensure they meet established standards for recognition as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® and to collect, analyze and disseminate data in compliance with applicable privacy limitations and other applicable laws and regulations.
